A Tamaqua landmark is being memorialized by the family of the owners of the former Texas Lunch. A memorial donation and plaque were presented to the Tamaqua Area public Library by James H. Ziogas, son of original co-owner Harry Ziogas. The plaque also commemorates the luncheonette's other co-owners, William K. Pappas and Peter Konstas and his son, Costas "Deano" Konstas. On hand for the presentation were; Marie (Thomas) Konstas, James Ziogas and Faye (Konstas) Georgies. Ziogas made the presentation, saying, "The Tamaqua Public Library continues to provide outstanding services to the community. In order to help to continue and maintain its services, a monetary gift was donated by the family of the Texas Lunch, which once stood in the center of town." CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
