Blue Mountain Health System will offer two mammogram clinics: Oct. 18 from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Palmerton campus, 135 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton; and Oct. 26 from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the Gnaden Huetten campus, 211 N. 12th St., Lehighton.

Breast cancer screening looks for signs of cancer before a woman has symptoms. Screening can help find breast cancer early, when the chance of successful treatment is best. Two tests are commonly used to screen for breast cancer: mammogram, a low-dose X-ray exam of the breasts to look for changes that are not normal, and clinical breast exam. Includes a free mammogram and clinical breast exam with a health care professional. A prescription for a screening mammogram will be supplied.Open to people who are uninsured or underinsured only.
