Meeting to address water business

Published June 02. 2015 04:00PM

Nestle Waters North America has been testing a possible future site for a spring water source in Eldred Township.

Chestnut Spring is being considered, according to Nestle's website. Testing and monitoring is being considered in the area near the center of Kunkletown.

"Based on currently available information, the springs have a favorable quality and mineral profile that is similar to the taste of our Deer Park 100 percent Natural Spring Water brand, which is largely bottled from springs throughout eastern Pennsylvania," Nestle said.

Residents are expected to address the matter at the Eldred meeting at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
