On the same day he tied the knot, a Luzerne County man was arrested due to several outstanding bench warrants from the Carbon County Sheriff's Department.

Weatherly Borough Police Chief Brian Markovchick said that police received a tip that Todd W. Sandefer, 42, of Milnesville, was at the Salem UCC Church in Weatherly on Saturday for his wedding.

Markovchick said that there were two domestic relations warrants out for Sandefer from the county sheriff's department. The warrants were confirmed with the sheriff's office, he said.

Sandefer was arrested after his wedding, but before the reception, said Markovchick, who added the arrest took place without incident.

Additionally, he said Sandefer faced two prior summary offenses in 2011 for traffic citations from the borough police department.

Of those, one was for obedience to traffic control, while the other was for driving under suspension, Markovchick said.
