Mr. and Mrs. Glenmore L. Dotter of Penn Forest Township will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in January.

They recognized the occasion with a gathering last month for family and friends at Whispering Pines Banquet Hall at Penn Forest Fire Company No. 1.They were married Jan. 16, 1965, by the Rev. Francis Adolf at St. Joseph Church in Jim Thorpe.Mrs. Dotter is the former Ellen M. Herman, daughter of the late Helen Kochmar Herman and Leonard Herman of Jim Thorpe.Her husband is the son of the late Clara Meckes Dotter and Mal Dotter of Jim Thorpe.Glen is retired from his business, Penn Forest Garage, and Ellen retired from the Jim Thorpe Area School District, where she worked as a paraprofessional.
