A Summit Hill family of five was made homeless Saturday afternoon when fire ripped through the second story of their home, destroying the upstairs bedrooms and causing major smoke and water damage to the first floor.

Ronald Christman, his wife, Anna Marie, and their three foster children, Erik, Brandon and Brooke, weren't home when the blaze was first discovered shortly after 2 p.m.
