Monroe break-in

State police at Lehighton are investigating a burglary that occurred at a Monroe County location.

Troopers said a barn on the property of Henry K. Smith, 70, of 106 Henry St., Saylorsburg, Ross Township, was entered sometime between Feb. 26 and March 11. Entry was gained by removing the hinges from a rear door.

Once inside the criminals removed a Sears electric impact wrench valued at $123. The criminals also gained entry to a detached car garage next to the barn and removed two gas operated weed eaters, with a total value of $270.
