A former Coaldale man, now reportedly living in the woods behind Shickram's Car Wash in Tamaqua, spent some time in the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, following a domestic incident on June 6.

Tamaqua police were dispatched to 423 N. Railroad St. at 9:57 p.m. and met with Rebecca Haughwought, who told officers that her boyfriend, Michael A. Strohl, 30, had thrown cans at her, striking her in the head and face.

She had a lump on her head and a small cut next to her left eye. She also said the couple was living in the woods and then led police to the exact spot, where they found Strohl.

He was arraigned before duty District Judge James Reilly on charges of simple assault and harassment. Bail was set at $5,000.
