June 7, 1982:

Weissport Borough Council plans to somehow place a token of remembrance for state Rep. Thomas P. McCall on the Route 209 bridge.

Robert Fetterman suggested that plaques could be installed at each end of the bridge, since the proposal of naming the bridge after McCall was put to rest.

Due to McCall's previous efforts to repair serious damage to the bridge, the council found it appropriate to commemorate him with the bridge somehow.

No final decision was made at the meeting.
