CCEDC offers business assistance from SBDC
Wilkes University Small Business Development Center (SBDC), a longtime supporter of the Carbon County Chamber and Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC), offers free services to businesses and those contemplating opening a new business.
On the first Friday of every month business consultant Dorothy Lane, who works out of the CCEDC office in Lehighton, is offering to meet with individuals who are interested in starting a new small business or who currently own a small business and need assistance with some facet of their business.
Appointments are presently open for Friday, March 7.
SBDC assists individuals who are contemplating starting a new business by offering assistance in researching ideas, assistance in writing a business plan, preparing financial projections, interfacing with government loan programs, environmental issues, licensing, registration and much more.
Existing businesses can turn to the SBDC for guidance in marketing and sales strategies, additional research, environmental concerns, disaster preparedness and human resource issues.
SBDC services are free. To make an appointment, contact the Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corp. office at 610-379-5000.
