Police said a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 operated by Paul A. Gschwend, 38, of Kresgeville, traveling north on Route 209, rear-ended a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Joseph J. Yurchak, 48, of Rock Glen, after the latter, also traveling north, slowed down due to traffic congestion.

Police said the Ram sustained disabling damages as its driver's side suspension was damaged. The Cavalier received minor rear passenger-side bumper damages.
