No one hurt in Monroe mishap

No one was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 6:30 a.m. Jan. 27 on Route 534 in Polk Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said the accident happened when a 1995 Ford Aspire operated by Colt D. Dunlap, 22, of Albrightsville, traveling east on Route 534, sideswiped a 1995 Ford driven by Jonathan D. Vasquez, 24, of Kunkletown, as it attempted to pass the vehicle. Police said Dunlap failed to stop at the scene of the crash.

Police said Dunlap will be cited for driving too fast for conditions. Vasquez will receive a citation for driving a vehicle that had an expired registration.

The accident happened west of Cramer's Lumber Yard.
