Traffic stop leads to drug charges

A traffic stop in Monroe County led to drug charges against the driver and passenger.

State police at Fern Ridge said a traffic stop was made on Jan. 24 along Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township, for a motor vehicle code violation.

At the stop a search of the vehicle was conducted and found was a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

As a result troopers said Michael Orlando, 22, of Scranton, the driver, and David Picado, 29, of Dunmore, were charged with drug law counts.
