Schuylkill man facing drug counts

A Schuylkill County man is facing several drug related charges after a search and seizure warrant was served on his residence.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the warrant was served on Thursday, Jan. 23, about 11 a.m. at the residence of William Blanton Pennington Jr., 60, of 423 Greenwood Road in Porter Township.

Found in the home was quantities of heroin and cocaine which have a street value of $10,000. Also found were items of drug paraphernalia.

Pennington was charged with two counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Troopers said he was arraigned before District Judge David J. Rossi, of Tremont.
