Two teens still remain in LVH

Published January 22. 2014 05:00PM

Two of the teenagers who were injured in a multicar crash on Sunday morning along Pohopoco Drive in Franklin Township remain as patients at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest this morning. The driver of the car in which the teens were passengers was Liz Heffley, daughter of state Rep. Doyle Heffley.

Heffley's friend, Emily Brong, was most seriously injured and remains a patient in the trauma center in the intensive care unit, said a hospital spokeswoman, Wednesday morning.

Tyler Fisher also remains hospitalized.

The other three teens who were involved in the crash, Heffley, Darian Jacoby and an unidentified girl were discharged yesterday.

Heffley posted today that she is asking for photographs of Emily's friends, at the request of Emily's mother. Heffley said that she wants to make a large board so that when Emily wakes up, she is surrounded by her friends.
