Argument leads to man being hurt

An 86-year-old Pottsville man was injured as a result of an argument over the possession of a vehicle on Jan. 16 in East Norwegian Township.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks did not reveal the name of the victim, but said he sustained minor injuries in the altercation.

Police said the incident happened at 7:40 p.m. on the above date at 145 Chamberlain Ave. in the township.

Police said the elderly man and a 49-year-old female from Pottsville became involved in a verbal argument over the possession of the vehicle, during which time the male attempted to grab the keys from the vehicle and the female pulled away. Police said the man was thrown to the ground and the unnamed female fled the scene.
