A Schuylkill County woman was jailed on Monday, Jan. 13, following a domestic incident. State police at Frackville said the incident occurred at 10 Kaska St., in Middleport.

Troopers responded to the residence about 8:10 p.m. to a report of a domestic disturbance. On scene troopers discovered that Stacey Lynn Leatherwood, of that address, had struck Jamie McClure, also of that address, on the head with a glass beer bottle causing a large cut to his face.

Leatherwood was arrested and charged with simple assault and harassment. She was arraigned by on-call District Judge James Reiley, of Pottsville, and committed to the county prison after failing to post 10 percent of $10,000 bail.

Troopers said McClure was issued a nontraffic citation for harassment. The police report did not indicate if McClure required medical treatment for his injury.

Troopers added that the investigation is continuing and additional charges may be filed.
