This 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by Heather Lacy, 38, of Palmerton, was traveling south on Fireline Road at around 9:14 a.m. Friday when it applied the brakes and slid on the snow covered road, leaving the roadway and striking a tree, according to police. A passenger, Lacy's 16-year-old daughter, complained of head and back pain, and was transported by Palmerton Ambulance to Palmerton Hospital. The vehicle was disabled, and had to be towed from the scene. Police said charges are pending. The accident remains under investigation.
