The sideswiping of a parked vehicle in the lot of 61 Club Lane, East Penn Township, is being investigated by state police at the Lehighton barracks.

The incident was reported at 5 p.m. Dec. 26.

The victim is Mark R. Harrison, 44, of Tamaqua.

Police said his 2009 Dodge Challenger was legally parked in a spot at the northern end of the parking lot of the business when it was struck by an unknown vehicle. The accident caused scrapes and gouge marks along the entire length of the passenger's side of the Challenger. Police said the impact also caused the passenger's side mirror to break off.

The unknown vehicle fled the scene in a westerly direction after exiting the lot.

Police said the owner of the vehicle learned of the damage to his vehicle when a patron entered the establishment holding the passenger side mirror.
