Three crashes Friday in Mahoning
SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS Car operated by Debra Ranck, 63, of Summit Hill, reportedly spun on the slippery road on Route 902 in Mahoning Township at 1 p.m. Friday. It was one of three incidents in the township on Friday.
Mahoning Township police reportedly investigated three crashes on Friday.
At 8:47 a.m., a single-vehicle crash occurred on Route 443 near 84 Lumber Company.
Police said Thomas Slater, 27, of Northampton was traveling east when the vehicle in front of him slowed to turn. Slater told police he swerved to avoid the slowed vehicle and went off the roadway, striking a utility pole. His vehicle was disabled and Slater sustained minor injuries.
At 1 p.m., a one-car crash occurred on Route 902 near the intersection with Breezewood Drive. According to township police, Debra Ranck, 63, of Summit Hill was traveling east when she lost control, spinning across the roadway. As a result her vehicle, a Chrysler PT Cruiser, struck a utility. The vehicle was disabled and no injuries were reported, police said.
At 5:10 p.m., a single-vehicle accident on Route 902 in the area of Strauss Valley occurred. Danielle Green, 20, of Summit Hill, was traveling south. Police said while negotiating a left hand curve, she lost control crossing the highway.
As a result, her vehicle a Chevy Sonic hit the guardrail. The vehicle was disabled and Green suffered minor injuries.
