Polar Bear Plunge to be held Feb. 16

The 14th Annual Pocono Polar Bear Plunge will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16 at Hennings Pond, Albrightsville.

Interested people must preregister at Robert Christian's Restaurant, Route 940, Pocono Lake or by calling 570-646-6600.

The festive event is exciting, yet may be dangerous to one's health. Participants must sign a liability waiver for swimmers only and pay a fee to defray expenses.

Each registered participant will receive a commemorative gift and hot food and beverages. Snacks and drinks will also be available for purchase by spectators.

Following the chilling plunge, enthusiasts will gather at Robert Christians for snacks, bragging rights and to see who will be crowned Ms. and Mr. Pocono Polar Bear.
