6-10 inches of snow on the way Thursday night

The new year is bringing a new storm. The National Weather Service has issued a storm warning for 1 p.m. Thursday into 10 a.m. Friday.

The forecast is for 6 to 10 inches of snow.

Some snow will begin Thursday morning through early afternoon. The storm will pick up by late Thursday afternoon with the bulk of the snow expected Thursday night and Friday morning.

Wind will increase throughout the day, with blowing and drifting snow making travel more dangerous.

Temperatures will be in the 20s to lower 30s Thursday, dropping into the teens and single digits Thursday night into Friday.
