A representative from the Disabled American Veterans will be available once a month at Tamaqua Borough Hall to offer free veteran's claim service for veterans as well as widows and dependent children of veterans. Information and assistance will be provided for service connected disability claims, low income pension, health care claims for service connected disabilities and low income veterans and other questions concerning veterans' benefits.
The representative will be at Tamaqua Borough Hall, 320 E. Broad St. at 9 a.m. on Feb. 10, Feb. 24, March 10 and March 24.

In an effort to better explain the building and permitting code process, as well as the rules and regulations of the currents codes in Tamaqua, Josh Esposito, Tamaqua Code enforcement officer, has scheduled a public meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Morgan Campus of Lehigh Carbon Community College, 234 High St.
Esposito, of BC Construction Code Services, will provide a brief presentation and then open the floor to a question-and-answer period.
The public, especially contractors and landlords, is welcome to attend.
The Rev. Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday in Zion Church in the Lewistown Valley. Sunday school classes will meet at 9:15 a.m.
The youth group will meet from 5 to 9 p.m. on March 8.
Pretzel orders are due on March 9.
St. John UCC
The Rev. Kevin Duffy Guy will officiate at the 9:30 a.m. worship service this Sunday in St. John United Church of Christ. The service will be followed by a time of fellowship. Sunday school classes for all ages will be held at 11 a.m. The weekly radio program will be aired on WLSH AM1410, at 11:30 a.m.
Also on Sunday, the fundraising committee will meet following the time of fellowship.
Activities for next week will include: Wednesday, choir rehearsal at 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, worship team meeting at 7:30 p.m.

Zion's Stone Church
The Rev. Michael Frost will officiate at the 9 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Zion's Stone Church in West Penn Township. Sunday school classes are held at 10 a.m.
A Bible study session is held from 10:30 a.m. to noon every Thursday.
The youth group will be participating in World Vision's 30 Hour Famine the weekend of March 14-15. Members and advisers will go without food in an effort to help hungry children throughout the world. Sponsors are needed and may send donations to 45 Cemetery Road, New Ringgold, PA, 17960.
