Pleasant Valley School District opens for students on Sept. 2.

Cafeteria prices for the year have been set at:Breakfast, $1.25; breakfast ticket $11.50 for two weeks, a $1.15 discount if prepaid; reduced breakfast ticket $3 for two weeks; adult breakfast, $2.70.Elementary: Lunch, $2.40; lunch ticket $23 for two weeks, a $2.30 discount if prepaid; reduced lunch ticket, $4 for two weeks.Secondary: Lunch, $2.50; lunch ticket, $24 for two weeks, a $2.40 discount if prepaid; reduced lunch ticket, $4 for two weeks; adult lunch $4.25.Milk is $0.50.No breakfast will be served if there is a two-hour delay.Reduced breakfast and lunch tickets must be applied for. Contact 570-402-1000, ext. 8452 for forms.As of August, Pleasant Valley has a total enrollment of 4,840, with 1,192 at Pleasant Valley Elementary, 1,106 at Pleasant Valley Intermediate, 778 at Pleasant Valley Middle School, and 1,764 at Pleasant Valley High School.Teachers employed for the school year, are 92 at the elementary school, 91 at the intermediate school, 68 at the middle school, and 140 at the high school.The district has 207 cyberschool students as of August and pays $10,463.68 annually for regular students and $24,756.84 annually for those with special needs.Annual costs for students attending regular schools as of last school year are $11,559.96 for elementary and $10,467.72 for secondary.
