UPDATE: Girl, 21 months, dies after being hit by car in Washington Township
A 21-month-old girl died Wednesday after being hit by a vehicle outside her home in Washington Township, Lehigh County.
Lehigh County Coroner Scott M. Grim said Farrah Munoz died of multiple blunt force injuries.
State police at Bethlehem said the girl was struck in front of her home at 4241 Mountain Road, by a sport utility vehicle driven by Daniel L. Watt, 33, of Germansville.
Munoz was flown to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, following the 3:35 p.m. incident; and pronounced dead at the hospital at 4:55 p.m., Grim said.
Grim ruled the death an accident.
Troopers did not provide any other details of the incident pending completion of their investigation.
