State police at Lehighton are investigating a motorcycle crash at 7:30 this moning along Fireline Road near Sand Quarry Road in Lower Towamensing Township. A motorcyclist struck a deer crossing the roadway. The biker escaped serious injury but was evaluated by medics at the scene. State police said the deer was an eight-point buck. Members of the Aquashicola Fire Company responded and maintained traffic control at the scene.
