Since the Selective Service Act started functioning last November, more than 3,500 have been passed at the Wilkes-Barre Induction Center.

Those accepted from Carbon County yesterday were Paul A. Scrip and Luther Hontz, both of Lehighton. The men were alternate replacements for those turned down last week.

Those from this county to be examined at the Wilkes-Barre Center today were Adam Melber and Roy Emery, both of Mauch Chunk, and John Twik of Beaver Meadows.
