Published September 30. 2013 05:00PM

A Slatington driver was involved in a two vehicle crash in Lehigh County in which he was cited. State police at Fogelsville said the accident occurred about 10:56 p.m. on Sept. 26 along Windy Road, in Lowhill Township.

Troopers said James H. Williams, 50, of Slatington, was driving a 2004 Pontiac GT northbound and negotiating a uphill right curve while Abdulkader Namous, 55, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was driving a 1999 Subaru Outback southbound, negotiating the same curve while traveling downhill.

Williams was going too fast for conditions and his car began to skid and travel about 45 feet northeast across the southbound lane. The Pontiac struck the Subaru head-on, troopers said.

Namous and his passenger, Reham A. Namous, 24, of Orefield, and Williams, were all injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, by Cetronia ambulance.

Troopers cited Williams for driving too fast for conditions.
