Break-ins probed

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating burglaries in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Ric's Service Station, 542 Port Carbon-Saint Clair Highway, East Norwegian Township, was entered through an unsecured door. Taken were numerous tools from the garage area. The listed victims are Ricardo Marks Jr., 37, of Port Carbon, and Roger Hoagland Jr., 39, of Pottsville. The incident occurred sometime between Sept. 20-24.

A break-in occurred at Foster Materials, located at 97 Commonwealth Road, in Hegins, Foster Township. A scale house was entered by using a shovel. Once inside the criminals removed a small safe. The incident occurred sometime between 4 p.m. on Sept. 25 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 26.

The home of Kent Knorr, 51, of 230 W. Grand Ave., Hegins, Porter Township, was entered. Removed from the basement area were half-inch, three-quarter inch, and one and one-quarter inch copper pipes. The entry occurred sometime between Sept. 22 and 27.
