Two persons were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred about 8:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24, along the Gordon Nagle Trail (SR901), in North Manheim Township. It was one of three crashes reported by state police at Schuylkill Haven.

Troopers said Cheyanna L. Reber, 19, of Schuylkill Haven, and Catherine M. Pasierb, 62, of Pottsville, were both eastbound when they encountered a disabled tractor trailer in the westbound lane. As Pasierb approached the rig she slowed in traffic as other vehicles were attempting to pass the disabled rig. As she slowed down her 2007 Honda CRV was struck in the rear by Reber's 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt.

Both drivers were taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for treatment of injuries.

Troopers cited Reber for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.

A one-vehicle crash occurred about 6:10 a.m. Tuesday along SR61 in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Robert C. Reier, 58, of Pottsville, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze southbound when a deer entered the road in front of him. He was unable to avoid the animal and struck it causing minor damages to his vehicle's middle front bumper and radiator. The radiator leaked its fluid and the vehicle had to be towed.

Reier was not injured.

Troopers investigated a crash about 8:02 a.m. on Sept. 16 along SR61 in Orwigsburg. Troopers said Leah J. Graup, 17, of Auburn, was northbound near the intersection with Raring Drive in an area prohibiting left turns.

A four-door Volkswagen sedan was northbound and aggressively slowed to make a left turn into a parking lot of a local business. Graup's Buick Century struck the rear of the Volkswagen. After impact the driver of the Volkswagen fled the scene.

Graup and passenger, Spencer C. Davis, 17, of Orwigsburg, were not injured.
