Tamaqua woman charged with fraud

Published September 25. 2013 05:00PM

A Tamaqua woman has been charged after she allegedly used someone else's credit/debit card without permission.

The victim contacted borough police on Sept. 10 and reported that her bank card had been used twice the previous day by someone who did not have the authority to use it. The illegal transactions were made at Boyer's Food Mart on Cedar Street and Fegley's Mini Mart on Center Street. The purchases totaled $141.19.

After a short investigation it was determined that the purchases had both been made by Desiree Jean Cramer, 21, of 227 Lafayette St.

Cramer was charged with credit card fraud, theft by deception, and receiving stolen property.
