September 24, 1988 Vinnie DeLuzio carries 21 times for 155 yards and Pleasant Valley's defense intercepts five passes to lead the Bears to a 20-7 Centennial League win over Notre Dame. PV quarterback Trevor Kresge runs for a one-yard score and also tosses a two-yard touchdown pass to Ed Onuska, while DeLuzio reaches the end zone on a 49-yard scamper. The Bears, coached by Donn Nicholas, receive two picks from DeLuzio and Anthony Marino and one from Jeff Martin.
