Assault, theft incident probed

State police at Lehighton reported on an assault and theft incident that occurred on Sept. 16 in the area of 4567 Greenwood Drive, Robinhood Lakes development, in Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said James Franklin Labar, 23, of Effort, was walking at the above location when three males, two white and one black, assaulted him and stole his wallet, cell phone, and shoes.

The three suspects then fled in a teal in color four-door sedan with Florida registration.

The driver was described as being white male, bald, about six-feet tall, wearing a long sleeve green shirt. The front seat passenger was a white male, wearing a blue hat and the rear passenger was black, wearing a gray hoody.
