Driver falls asleep, crashes vehicle

A Schuylkill County driver fell asleep at the wheel of her vehicle and crashed.

State police at Frackville said Emily Noecker, 21, of Orwigsburg, was operating a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox, southbound in the 500 block of E. Railroad Ave. (SR443) in New Ringgold, when she fell asleep. The vehicle left the road on the east side, struck a wooden fence with the front end, continued through the fence and struck a parked vehicle, where it came to rest.

Noecker was not injured. The Equinox was towed the from scene. Troopers did not indicate what damages were done to the parked vehicle.

Troopers noted Noecker was cited for the crash.
