The identity of a Monroe County woman who died in a car accident yesterday morning in Kunkletown has been released.

State Police at Lehighton were dispatched to the scene of the single vehicle crash that occurred around 7 a.m. Friday.

Upon arrival, troopers discovered Eleanor Flick, 89, of Albrightsville, deceased behind the wheel of her vehicle.

State police at Lehighton barracks said Flick had been traveling westbound on Kunkletown Road, Eldred Township, when her vehicle crossed over the eastbound lane and struck a building.

Flick was not wearing a seat belt, said police, and there was air bag deployment.

Contact with Flick's next of kin revealed that she has a history of numerous medical conditions, reported state police.

Monroe County Coroner Bob Allen has scheduled an autopsy in an attempt to discover whether Flick died as a result of the crash, or if one of her numerous medical conditions led to her death, subsequently causing the crash.
