Fall job fair scheduled in Jim Thorpe
Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corporation and PA CareerLinkî are once again joining forces to bring employers to Carbon County to help reduce the unemployment rate.
Over 400 jobseekers attended the spring job fair and the hope is that even more will take advantage of the fall job fair to be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Jim Thorpe Memorial Hall.
Attending this event will be companies, schools and community service providers from Carbon and the surrounding counties.
New to the job fair this year are companies like Samuel Adams Brewery, Cabela's, Kistler O'Brien Fire Protection, Turkey Hill Minit Markets, Millard Refrigerated Services and Ryder.
Returning, again, will be Nestle Logistics and Nestle Purina PetCare, along with local companies such as Kovatch, Bayada Home Health Care and Pencor Services. For a full listing visit www.carboncareerlink.org.
