Dinner to benefit cancer patient

A dinner will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Mahoning Valley Ambulance building, 902 Mill Road, Lehighton, to benefit Ginger Outlaw, a patient from Lehighton who is battling breast cancer. The dinner will include open-faced turkey, filling, corn, pumpkin pie, and a drink. There will also be a Chinese auction, bake sale, 50/50 drawing and more. Anyone who wishes to donate for the bake sale or Chinese auction can call (610) 379-4319. Donations can also be sent to: Ginger Outlaw Breast Cancer Fund, 49 Second Avenue, Lehighton, Pa. 18235.

Outlaw was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and is being treated at St. Luke's Cancer Care Associates, Surgical Oncology, 360 Ruddle St., Coaldale, Pa. 18218.

Outlaw was recently diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer. Her cancer has spread into her lymph nodes.

She recently had her sixth treatment and she will be undergoing surgery and radiation following chemotherapy. She grew up in Lehighton and is a 2000 graduate of Lehighton Area High School.
