Portable toilet falls from vehicle

A portable toilet fell from a truck and struck a vehicle. Nesquehoning police said the accident occurred along SR209 about 7:39 a.m. on Friday. Sept. 13.

Chief Sean Smith said Heath Simms, 214 Fourth St., Oneida, Schuylkill County, was drivnig a truck owned by Biros Portable Toilet Company, southbound when one of the portable toilets fell off the truck.

The toilet struck a vehicle head-on operated by Rachel Simmons, 640 E. Second St., Weatherly, who was northbound. The toilet blew off the truck, Smith said.

Simmons was injured and taken to the Lehighton hospital for treatment.

Simms was charged with unsecured loads, Smith said.
