Twenty-five members of the Palmerton High School Class of 1951 held their 62nd-year class reunion at the Palmerton Hotel in Palmerton on Sept. 7.

Alice Britto Dimeglio traveled the farthest, coming all the way from Mankato, Minn.

She also has the distinction of never missing a class reunion.

Also from out of state were George Kannapel from Delaware, Ohio; Clayton and Janet Smith McFarland of Marlton, N.J.; and Franklin Strohl of Lakeland, Fla.

Other classmates attending, all from Pennsylvania, included Betty Behler Green, Helen Stevko Behler, Susie Garcia Babyak, Josie Siverski Babyak, Eugene Hankee, Leah Hefflefinger Davis, Frank Johannes, Bob Kunda, Delores Mendez and Dolores Muniz Rabenold.

Also attending were Franklin Neff, Paul Pastier, Anna Psarsky Richmond, Frank and Joan Smith Smida, Phyllis Shiner Coombe, Bella and Lois Strohl and Pat Walck.

Class members celebrated 2013 and their 80th birthdays by reminiscing about their high school days in Palmerton, while enjoying an old-fashioned country style dinner.

The class hopes to meet again in three years for their 65th.
