Walter Schulz appointed to school board
The Jim Thorpe Area School Board appointed Walter Schulz to fill a vacancy on the school board.
Schulz will be replacing Robert Schaninger, who recently resigned.
The school board asked for letters of intent from residents interested in filling the board vacancy. After receiving letters of intent, the board reviewed the candidates and voted to approve Schulz.
Schulz will be filling in for the rest of Schaninger's term, which will expire in December when the school board reorganizes.
