Two persons sustained minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash that occurred about 5:37 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, along SR25 in Hegins Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Jessica R. Rafter, 29, of Trevorton, Northumberland County, was stopped for a stop sign on North Goodspring Road at SR25. She began to pull out when the right front of her 1998 Dodge Stratus struck the left rear quarter panel of a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 truck driven by Harry Wehry Jr., 46, of Dornsife, Northumberland County. The Stratus glanced off the truck and impacted with the left side of a trailer Wehry had attached to his vehicle.

The Stratus then continued into the westbound lane and collided into a 2007 Ford 500 operated by Wendy M. Geist, 62, of Hegins.

Rafter was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-E. Norwegian Street, Pottsville, for treatment. Wehry also sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention. Geist and her passenger, Jeremiah T. Oxenrider, 23, of Hegins, were not injured.

All three vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Troopers cited Rafter for a stop sign violation.
