The Schuylkill Historical Fire Society will host its Annual Muster on Sunday, Sept. 8, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Schuylkill Fire Training Academy, Morea Road, east of Frackville. An Open House of the Schuylkill Fire Training Academy coincides with this event. The Muster commences with a parade of antique fire trucks from the Schuylkill Mall to the Training Academy at 11 a.m.

Pumping demonstrations of new and antique fire trucks and displays of pumpers, ladders, rescue trucks, old and new, are featured. Food and refreshments are available on the academy grounds. The event concludes with a Memorial Service at 2:30 p.m. at the Fallen Fire Fighters Monument at the grounds. The Rev. Fred Crawford of the Christ Lutheran Church of Mahanoy City will conduct the service.The event is FREE to the public. Individuals and families are welcome to attend.
