Old Fashioned Hay Ride and Fall Fest planned for Oct. 12 and 13

Old Fashioned Hay Ride and Fall Fest will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12; and Sunday, Oct. 13 at the Weissport Park and Lehigh Canal Park at Weissport.
The event will include free tractor drawn hayrides (by donation only) along the historic canal, tractor show, crafters, pumpkin patch, Chinese auction, bake sale, homemade food and children's activities, including make your own scare crow.
This event is catering to seniors, elderly individuals and people with disabilities.
Hay rides will be held every 20 minutes, from 11 a.m. throughout the day.
The hay ride will give everyone the opportunity to see the historic Lehigh Canal Park at Weissport during the height of the fall foliage experience.
There will be a variety of children's activities, including a "train ride" in the park for little ones, a bounce house, with homemade food served with table service to especially accommodate seniors and people with disabilities.

This event is being sponsored by L-TNT Pyrotechs Inc., Walnutport, who are providing the tractors and drivers; Lehigh Canal Recreation Commission, who is opening the park gates; and Walnutport Canal Association for providing hay wagons. Beltzville Lions Club is organizing the event.
There will be many attendants to assist elderly and people with disabilities on and off the hay wagons and to assist with the serving of food.
