Oklahoma driver killed in I-80 crash

An Oklahoma driver was killed in a one-vehicle crash along Interstate 80 in Butler Township, Luzerne County, early Wednesday morning.

State police at Hazleton said Michael Ray Mitchell, 34, of Tulsa, was driving a 2009 Honda Civic eastbound about 5:54 a.m. when his vehicle drifted off the road into the center grassy median and struck two trees.

Troopers said Mitchell died upon impact and was pronounced dead at the scene. He died of multiple traumatic injuries, troopers added.
