Faculty members and students were welcomed to the new Panther Valley High School located along Route 209 just east of Lansford as orientation and abbreviated class schedules got under way.

Pupils in the 11th and 12th grades were greeted by Principal Stephen Martinec upon their arrival shortly after 7 a.m. Tomorrow members of the ninth and 10th grades will attend classes for the first time.

Martinec addressed the faculty and students during an assembly program. Students and teachers then toured the building prior to the start of classes this afternoon.
