Rain didn't stop visitors and spectators from enjoying the 15th Annual Zoostock held Labor Day at the Sports Zoo/Halftime Sports Bar in Lansford.

The event, held to benefit the Carbon Tamaqua Unit of the American Cancer Society, consisted of free entertainment, family actitivities, t-shirts, food and prizes.

When asked about the event, co-coordinator Ann Marie Calabrese stated appreciation to all the volunteers, sponsors and visitors to the event.

Donating their time were entertainers Cassidy Rose, Jay Smar, Cody Sassaman, Y.M.I. a DUO, Brad and Luke and the Jersey Cartwrights, The Brand, Toolshed Jack and A.D.D.

The total of the event will be announced during the ACS Telethon (CancerTelethon.org) scheduled for April 5 & 6, 2014.

For more information, to make a monetary donation, volunteer, or to donate a prize, call (570) 290-8089 or (484) 464-3986.

The atmosphere of the event was best described via the event's t-shirt, which stated, " Times I can't remember, with times I can't forget."
