A frustrated Summit Hill Borough Council last night said it plans to switch BLS (basic life support) ambulance coverage from the Lansford Ambulance to the Lehighton Ambulance Association.

Council member Kevin Steber stated pointedly, "I prefer we go to Lehighton."

He then made a motion, which passed unanimously, to "obtain a proposal from Lehighton to our BLS and ALS (advanced life support) provider."
