State police at Fern Ridge are investigating two burglaries.

A break-in occurred at the residence of Richard Andrew Blagrave Jr., 83, of 145 Towamensing Trail, Albrightsville, Penn Forest Township, Carbon County. Entry was gained through a unlocked rear sliding door. Miscellaneous items were taken. The incident was reported at 1 p.m. on Oct. 17.The second entry occurred at the residence of Kelly Leigh Simpson, 32, of 1617 Davids Rd., in Effort, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County sometime between 7 and 10 p.m. on Oct. 11. Point of entry is unknown. Various items were taken.
