Puppy taken from Country Junction pet department

Published October 17. 2013 05:00PM

An employee in the pet department of Country Junction Store in Towamensing Township is hoping that the missing 10-week old Red Dachshund has a good home.

Bryana Steinmetz said the puppy, valued at $750, went missing last Saturday while employees were busy with other customers.

"It's our Oktoberfest festival and we were extremely busy," said Steinmetz.

"I'm just hoping that whoever took the puppy is giving it a good home," she said.

She added that the person who took the puppy has no idea of which immunizations the dog has had and which ones are still needed.

"We have alerted our veterinarian and she has alerted other vets in the area," she said. "They will be on the lookout for this puppy."

The theft occurred within a five to 10-minute period, she said.
