A Schuylkill County juvenile is facing charges after he threatened another juvenile with a knife.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred about 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at a playground along E. Bacon St., in Palo Alto.

Troopers said a 13-year-old male approached another 13-year-old male at the playground and said he was going to stab him, then showed him a knife that he had in his pocket. No injuries occurred.

Troopers said the teen will be charged with simple assault by petition filed with the county's juvenile probation office.
